The PTSD after the events that caused traumas, from the Front Page Sections, translated…

Two days ago, there was a fatal crash involving six cars, three people who are in those cars were, burned to charcoaled bodies, the police and district attorney’s offices investigated the cause, took the sample DNA from the families of the deceased, to identify the victims; at first, they’d believed, that the cause of the crash was that the driver, Lang who drove a freezer truck wasn’t paying enough attention to the traffic ahead, he’d driven in fast speed, and, hit the cars that weren’t moving ahead of him, as for the real cause of the crashes, it’s still pending investigation.

The deceased included the forty-year-old freezer truck driver, Lang, the forty-two year old compact driver before the truck, Liu, his forty-one year-old passenger, Cheng, all three couldn’t get out of their car, because the cars were, deformed, and they were, swallowed by the fires; Lang’s father told, that his son drove the trucks in Taipei for years on end, has a set schedule, never mentioned to him that the work hours were too long, or that he’s in bad health, he’d, rarely drunk too.

Yeh, who was a friend of Liu, an accident victim for twenty years, rushed to the morgue in Banciao to identify his body, said that Liu was in the clothing business for over twenty years, very hard working, two days ago, he’d gone to Nankang in Taoyuan to see the location where the new store was set to get built, and on the return home, the accident had, killed him; Liu filled all of his filial piety duties toward his own parents, very loving toward his children and wife, would take them travel a lot, or drive them home to Chiayi to visit with his own parents.

Yeh said, Cheng, the saleswoman was married a little earlier, her two kids are in high school and university, but, the car accident had, taken both their lives. Based off of understanding, Liu’s wife is a housewife, and his children are eight and six, he was the primary breadwinner of his house, with the pressures of mortgage, the family is now, in economic trouble.

Yesterday, the three surviving driver went to the police station to give their statements, and as they’d talked about what had happened, they’d all exclaimed, “It was, horrid”, the surviving female driver, Peng’s mother retold, that her daughter saw the gasoline leaking out of the truck behind her, the driver and the passenger hollered endlessly for help, and, shortly thereafter, the car exploded, and the survivors can only, rush to the separation of the freeways to wait for assistance to arrive.

The survivor, a truck driver, Chen said, that this was the first time that anything like this had, ever happened, as soon as he’d heard the explosions, he’d jumped out of the car, and turning his head, he saw the car behind him, starting to burn, he’d rushed to the separating segment of the freeway, and now, whenever he’d, closed his eyes, he’d see, the fires burning then, he was, thrilled.

Yesterday afternoon at around three, the families and the masters came to the scene of the accident to call the souls back, everybody was, crying hard; the freeway police pointed out, that because the families had yet to file a law suit, or demanded payment, they’re still sorting through the evidence, to see who had, caused this fatal accident that took many lives.

So for those who’d, survived this awful accident, that took the lives of others, it’s, going to be, really difficult, as they are the survivors of this unfortunate event, and although, they may have, only suffered minor physical injuries, however, the emotional/psychological stresses, is unimaginable, and, after their bodies get patched up, their minds will need to get better too, but, these things usually, just, don’t go away that quickly, it’s, a long and hard recovery process that these people who’d survived will be, faced with afterwards…
