The only time of rest that regular workers get are on the weekends, my husband is one of those; I work case by case, as a sponsor of various activities, I’d taken care of the kids, cleaned up the house, and on the weekends and holidays, I work around the clock, there are rarely any time we’d spent as a family together.
On October 10th, the national holidays, my husband and children were happy having their days off, but I’d needed to host seven separate functions in just those four days. As they were fast asleep in bed, I’d already arrived at the hotel and started working, then, I’d gone home in the late evenings; for four days on end, I’d not seen the sun, or the smiles off my son’s face, and seeing how messy the house became, I’d, lacked the energy to get angry.
It’s the third day of the long weekend, I’d placed my suitcase for work carelessly by the entry of my bedroom, as my husband pushed through the door, he’d, bumped into it, and stated, “Why must you leave your things everywhere!”, I’d gotten so angry, kicked that suitcase to the back of the walls, and started giving him the silent treatment then.
This should’ve been my day of rest too, but instead, I can only, keep my head to the household chores, my son wanted to play as I was halfway done with cleaning, I got angry and shouted at him, “Get away from me!”

That very evening, my husband heard from my mother-in-law what happened during the daytime, he’d asked me, we’re both very busy working, what should we do with the household chores? I knew well, that other than working extra hours, my husband had helped with my child regularly, and decided to hire a household cleaner, I’d rather have one less drink a day, and spend the extra time I’d had with my son.
Every woman who has a job are burning on both ends, we’d wanted to play our separate roles well, and hoped, that our husbands are ones who’ll be willing, to help out with the house too; but, rather than pushing ourselves to the limits, and getting pissed off at how our husbands aren’t doing their household chores, why not hire a maid, to have the professionals help us out, so we can not be on one another’s nerves constantly, and the household would be, more harmonious too.
So, this is from what you got, that you’d worked hard away from home, come home to a messy house, naturally, you’d feel, pissed off, and your husband didn’t help out, because that doesn’t fit the gender norm here, and so, you come up with the solution of hiring a household maid to help you with your household chores, that way, you could have more time to spend with your families, and not get mad at them as often, for not doing their shares of household chores.
