A Woman with a Psychological Problem, Lin, Two Days Ago, Was Suspected of Taking a Craft Knife, Entering into a Preschool, and Injuring a Young Girl on Her Left Wrist, After She Was Out on Bail, She’d Gone to an Elementary School Yesterday, and Was Suspected of Cutting a Male Student’s Left Arm, it’d Caused the Parents to Worry. The Tainan D.A.’s Offices Asked the Courts to Have Her Taken into Custody for Precaution, and Was Denied, the Judge Mandated that Lin Get Hospitalized, and Transferred Her to the Chianan Psychiatric Unit.
Lin’s father said, that his daughter had a handicap registry, and had been treated repeated for psychological problems, a short while ago, she got better, and just started working. Two days ago at nine in the morn, she’d headed off to work, but for some unknown reasons, she’d entered into the school and injured the children, after his daughter made bail, she’d returned home immediately. And, at three in the morning yesterday, he’d made sure that she was in bed sleeping, then he’d turned in to sleep too, but early in the morn, his daughter went out and injured the children, causing the scare in the schools, he felt truly regrettable for his daughter’s behaviors.
The police investigated, that Lin (age 20) who worked as a cashier at a super convenience shop at eight in the morning two days ago, barged into a preschool, and as a four-year-old young girl went to the restrooms alone, she was sliced by Lin on the left wrists, the child ran quickly back to class for help, the child had a cut of four centimeters, after she was sewn up, she’s not in any life-threatening danger. The local police arrested Lin on site, and after the D.A. interrogated her, they’d ordered her to pay $20,000N.T. before she can get bailed out.
Early at six yesterday, Lin entered into an elementary, just three kilometers away from the kindergarten she’d hurt the child, at 7:10 in the morn, a seven-year-old boy alone in the class, was cut by Lin on his left arm and palm; the child immediately ran out of the class, called for help, and after he was taken to the hospital, he suffered only minor injuries.
The police went to the school and arrested Lin, and charged her with injuries. Lin admitted to bringing the craft knife into school, but claimed that she “forgot” what happened about what she was accused of, hurting the child with the knife.
The outside questioned why Lin wasn’t taken into custody when she first injured the first child? The Tainan D.A.’s office stated, that Lin had NO priors, and there wasn’t enough evidence pointing toward how she might committed the crimes again; but as Lin attempted to hurt the child yesterday, the D.A. immediately asked the courts to get her taken into custody as a precaution, and that if the judge believed it to be unnecessary, then, she needed to be forced into the psychiatric wards.
The Tainan District Court said, that the two physical assaults that Lin committed were all because of her mental conditions, that she’d not intended to hurt anybody. The courts weighed on that having her hospitalized may be more beneficial, that Lin’s behaviors may cause a scare in the local communities, but this can be prevented, after she was forced into hospitalization, there’s no need to take her into custody, and mandated that she gets hospitalized.
Yeah, uh, but what if this woman came out of her hospitalization, and attempted to hurt another again? Then, WHO is responsible then, huh? The courts just can’t make those calls, based off of the facts at hand, after all, this wasn’t an ISOLATED incident, this woman had a PRIOR, for crying out loud, and, what if, it was your kid that got stabbed even harder, huh???
