Class Reunion

Got that invite in the mail, or do they do e-vites now, huh??? Translated…

I’d bumped into a former classmate, the two of us started catching up, talked about everything that’s happened in our separate lives, and, it’d felt amazing. He said, that at our last reunion, there were about over forty members of the class who came, and, the rest of the class, don’t know if they lived too far away, or if that they were ill, they’d not shown up.

I knew, that some of the classmates didn’t show, that they’d felt that so-and-so was a C.E.O., so-and-so owns a mansion, that comparing, they’d paled by comparisons, not achieved anything at all, they’d felt ashamed, didn’t want to be the joke of the class, that was why they’d not shown up. But this, is the wrong beliefs.

Being able to have the affinity to become friends with others, this, is a really hard-to-come by affinity, if there’s a chance, for us, former classmates, to all gather together, to catch up, to reminisce over the old days, it would be such an amazing thing, why must some people always compare themselves to others? Especially at our age, we are running the race against time, while we’re still healthy, getting the opportunity to reconnect with the former classmates, to reminisce over our good old days, like who was the one getting into trouble all the time, who’s the one who’d gotten punished the most, who had a crush on that girl from the class over…………we’d gotten the conversations started, and, it’d become, more and more raucous now, the estrangement from not connecting over the years, gone, who cares if you’re the C.E.O., or I’m the manager? Every time after a reunion, I can never recall what we’d talked about, but I always remembered the times we were having, friendly, happy, and close.

Before your old friends, you have no need to worry if you’re not successful enough, if you’re not rich enough, a person with the comparing state of mind, is never happy. So, if you have a call from someone from your past, whether it be an old friend, a former colleague, a former classmate, go to the gatherings! Trust me, it will, be such a heartwarming gathering for you to experience.

So, this article described the anticipations that we all get, when we get that invite from the mail or from the e-mails, that there’s going to be a class reunion, and, many of us already left those days behind, so that, is why we normally wouldn’t go, and some of us had blocked those days out, due to the bad experiences, and that, is why we didn’t want to go, either way, the reunion served as an opportunity, to make amends, to reconnect, to find closures to that part of our lives, so go!
