The Worker Fell from the Thirteen Story Building He Was Working in & Died

This is why it’s extremely important, that ALL needed safety precautions should be taken, because when it isn’t, this happened! From the Front Page Sections, translated…

In a construction site in Beitun District, Taichung yesterday, the worker, Chen, was suspected of not using the safety belts, and he wasn’t careful as he’d done the work, he’d fallen from the thirteenth floor, after he was rushed to the hospital, he’d still died. The Department of Labor had ordered the construction work to halt, and fined the builders, as well as the construction company $200,000 N.T. to $300,000N.T. demanded that they set up a system of safety maintenance, before they’re able to resume the construction work again.

And, Lin, the man in charge of the construction company, Lee, the contractor, due to their negligence, had breached the codes of occupational safety, they were charged with manslaughter, and after the investigations, they were sent to Taichung D.A.s office for processing.

The fire department in Taichung received a call at around eleven in the morning, that the 34-year-old construction worker, Chen fell from a building in Beitun District, it was an estimated 45 meter fall. Before the police and fire department arrived, he’d already stopped breathing, and after being rushed to Tzuchi Hospital in Taichung, he’d still died.

The hospital pointed out, that as the injured arrived in, he didn’t have a pulse, or breath, had clear fractures on his right hand, the right calf was severed, and after emergent resuscitation measures were performed for half an hour, he was declared dead.

And so, this, is how important SAFETY is, not just on the job, but every moment of every day, because when you failed to remember to take the safety precautions, something bad happens, and it can turn tragic really fast, like this case had shown us.
