The Cure-All Hugs

Because that, is the amazing healing “powers” of a hug??? Translated…

We’d gone to the ball pools to play on the weekend, there was a child of a little over a year old who’d fell, his parents were close by, wanted him to get back up on his own. “Stop crying, you’re embarrassing yourself!”, the child cried even louder, it looked like he was about to throw a full-blown tantrum, and his parents still wouldn’t budge, kept repeating, “Shame! Shame on you!”

Standing close by, I found it enigmatic, my son came closer and asked me what was happening? I’d whispered in his ears, “What do you think that little boy wanted?”, he’d replied, “he wants a hug.” Then my son turned toward the parents, told them, “He wants a hug, just a hug!”, then, the parents finally picked up their young, and although no more exchanges happened, my son still won’t give up, walked over to them, told them, “Don’t you know, that a hug is a cure for just about everything!”

That still just shows, how much kids know more than you, adults! And, because that little boy tripped and fell (had a “boo-boo”???), and needed for his parents to pay attention to him, but, it’s now how we were raised to react when children started crying, the Asian parents normally believed, that when their young start to cry, they’re just, wanting attention, and yet, this little boy set these parents straight!
