Life, the Obstacle Course

Once, Upon a Dream…

Once, upon a dream, I was, a young child

with absolutely, NO clue of what life entailed

Once, upon a dream, I thought, I had a good and happy, and carefree childhood

Turned out, it was, ALL a LIE, that the truth was, EXACTLY, the opposite, of what I had, misbelieved

Once upon a dream, I’d, held you close, in my arms

You’d, smelled like a baby so good

I couldn’t, wait, to hold you in my arms

Then, they took you, AWAY

Told me they were, mistaken

That you weren’t, meant to be mine

Once upon a dream, so long ago…

Once upon a dream, I thought you were mine

But, that had been, a mis-intention, of fate

You’re now lost, in the river of time

And I, still on this Earth, living, with this

Patched-Up hole in my heart
