Grades still don’t make the man, the skills do!!! As this case showed, from the Newspapers, translated…
Ming-Yang Chang wasn’t studious, after high school, he’d not gone to college, started apprenticing at the shops; at age twenty-seven, he’d started his own business with funds of $1.3 million N.T.S, but with his hardworking mannerisms, doing everything personally, worked alongside Chien-Yi Hsiao, he’d proven, that any line of work is good, written down the upgrades in the smaller mechanic techniques upgrade.
Chang didn’t do well on his examinations after middle school, entered into the electric majors of high school with a very low grade, he’d felt that going to college is merely reading and studying the knowledge on the books, he was more willing to start apprenticing at a garage, with his willingness to work hard, his active mind the owner of the garage put him up for the techniques training at work.
Chang and his wife wanted to start a business on their own, he’d first communicated with the owner of the garage he’d worked for to get his support, and, the owner of the garage gave many of the orders to him to work on, “Working together, to help business flowing”.
Chang took out a loan of $300,000N.T. from the banks, plus borrowing $1,000,000 N.T. from his friends, they’d started o machines, started manufacturing, from receiving the order slips, to quality control, to deliveries and maintenance, his wife took care of their child, as she operated the machines, they’d once stayed up for thirty-six hours straight, to make the orders, in the second year of their entrepreneurship, they bought their third machine, and hired one employee for the factory.
Chang started his entrepreneurship at a young age, hoped to increase the chances of the younger generations, the workers in his shop is thirty-five years old on average; he’d not taught them the theories, just operated the machinery, modeled for his employees, controlled the quality of the products, stressed that it’s important to be observant, to not hurry, “Using the right ways, it’ll cut the production time in half.”
So, it’s with this drive that this man has, that’s made him successful as a mechanic, and this still showed, how you don’t need to worry if you’re not making the grades (and no, still not telling EVERYBODY out there who’s still in school to BOMB their exams either!!!), so long as you’re willing to learn a skill, the skills you’d acquired can carry you far in life!
