The Indonesian nurse’s aide, Di was suspected of wanting to escape out of a mansion in Taichung, she’d climbed out of the eleventh floor windows, as she was climbing down the walls, she accidentally slipped and fell, landed on the lanai of the second floor, died on the scene. The police found that the two plastic bags she had carried out with her had her clothes and shoes, suspected that she worried if she walked through the front, she would get found by the security guard, she’d decided to climb out the window downstairs, but she’d lost her grip and fell to her death. As the D.A. examined the facts, they’d ruled this as an accidental fall.
The police investigated and found, that the 32-year-old Indonesian nurse’s aide, Di came to Taiwan a little over a year ago, looked after an elderly person in Xitun, Taichung. Lin, her employer recently found that she’d been on the phones a lot, said she wanted to talk to her friends, believed that she wasn’t focused enough to look after the elderly well enough, planned to fire her; as Di learned, she’d worried that she may get sent back home by the agency, a while ago, she packed up, and readied herself to run off, but Lin’s family found her and stopped her from it.
Lin worried that Di would attempt to run away, asked the security guard of her building to keep a closer eye on her. Early morning yesterday at around seven, the security guard heard a loud bang outside, went out to check, and he’d found Di lying on the second floor lanai; as the police and paramedics arrived, they’d found her skull cracked open, her calves bent out of shape, she’s been dead for hours.
the police investigated, that where Di fell was directly under the eleventh floor where her boss lives on the eleventh floor, and that the windows to the living room were opened, but there wasn’t a rope, they couldn’t be certain, what she used to climb downstairs.
There were two plastic bags next to where her body was found, with clothes and shoes, some of the clothes still had labels on them, and next to where her body was, there was a snapped red belt, the police suspected that the belt was snapped as she fell to her death.
The police stated, that every floor of this mansion had open lanais, without the bars or the handrails, and they deducted that in order to not get found by the security guard downstairs, Di planned to climb down to the first floor barehand; but there wasn’t any parts of the building that allowed her to grab onto, which makes it easy to slip off the building.
So this woman’s escape was driven by her own fears of getting fired and sent back to her home country, and, had she done her job, and communicated with her employer about the workload of caring for the elderly was a bit too heavy for her, then, maybe this wouldn’t have ended in death…
