The one who caused this tragic accident is now, charged, from the Front Page Sections, translated…

The Compassion Nursing Home early in March caught fire, and four elderly died, thirteen injured; the D.A. found, that it was caused by how the foreign care worker’s way of lighting up the candles that’s caused this accident, and the operators of the nursing home didn’t clear up the space for escape, didn’t pass the safety measures, all three were charged with manslaughter.

The Taoyuan District Attorney’s Offices discovered, that on March 31st, early in the morning, the Compassion Nursing Home due to a power outage, the foreign nurse’s aide, Li lit up two red candles for light; she’d put paper under the candles, and cloth under the papers, and dripped a few wax as the holders, she’d placed the candles, right on the closets, without using a candle holder, and headed to sleep.

At around five, the female nurse’s aide found that there was a fire, rushed from the first floor upstairs to check, the fire was burning out of control then, nothing can be done, so, she’d, jumped out of the second story window and injured herself, and the elderly, who were, immobilized couldn’t make their escape, and died.

The forensics believed, that because the candles weren’t stabilized, that as it’d burned half way and fell over, ignited the flammable items close by, causing the fire to grow, that the foreign nurse’s aide was solely responsible for causing this fire.

And, the owners of the home, the Chungs, for the sake of making money, they’d falsified the total space, and used wooden boards to block the elevators to the second floor, dodged the safety checks of the fire department, and kept taking in residents.

So, this is the nurse’s aide’s fault, but, because the owners of the facility didn’t set up a safety escape route, that is why, they’re, charged with manslaughter also, and this was just an accident, that could’ve been, easily avoided, and why the HECK would you want to use candles, in the AGE of electricity anyways, unless it’s someone’s birthday, then in that case, the candles should’ve gotten put out after the cake’s cut!
