Says W-H-O you CAN’T KILL someone with your words??? Here’s an example that DISPROVES just that!!! From the Front Page Sections, translated…
A Vietnamese man whose visa had expired stayed in Taiwan, worked without a workers’ visa for three years at a marketplace with fowls for three years on end, two evenings ago in the late nights, he’d carried on in conversation with a group of foreign workers, then came the rumor of “the Department of Immigrations will make the rounds here to catch the illegal and escaped workers!”, the group immediately scattered off. Kao hid in the transporting elevator of the market, but, was killed by the heavy parts of the elevator, and in the end, the police finally arrived, and that was when the workers realized, that there, wasn’t any officers of immigrations coming to catch them for deportation, and they couldn’t believe, how a rumor had, killed a man.
The police pointed out, that the Vietnamese male, Kao (age 26) used the name of learning Chinese to come to Taiwan, and enrolled in the Chinese language program of a private college in Hsinbei City, and afterwards, he’d filed for a workers’ visa to stay until February of 2014; and, after his visa expired, he’d started working here illegally, Kao’s boss told, that as Kao used his student identification to get hired in the fowl marketplaces, he’d worked for a little over three years to date, he’d not known, that the man’s visa had, expired.
Two evenings ago at around ten, Kao and a group of foreign workers were having conversations in the markets, at which time, someone mentioned how the office of immigrations will be ambushing and catching the illegal and escaped workers, the group was thrilled, and started scattering to hide; and because the cargo elevator only transported from the second to the fifth floor, and Kao knew it wouldn’t get to the first floor, so he’d opened up the door to the cargo elevator, and hid in the left corner.
But, the place where Kao was hiding at, was right directly under the heavy chains that were used to make the elevator operative. Not long after he’d hidden himself there, someone started using the cargo elevator, and the heavy parts of the elevator went downward, and crushed Kao’s chest, and because the forces were too strong it’d damaged his lungs, and he’d died of asphyxiation.
So, this death was a result of a prank gone bad, and, because this man was staying here illegally, he was afraid of getting caught and being deported back to his home country, so, he’d chosen to hide in a dangerous place, which resulted in his death. It all started with the rumor that the office of immigrations was coming to ambush, and, because the man was an illegal worker, that was what cause him to run, which in turn, led to his untimely death.
