A man Liao was accused of bringing a bar girl home and raping her, although he’d insisted that he’d paid for the sex, but because Liao’s high-school age daughter saw the woman in a panic, with her dress being torn in places, crying out in the corner of the room, “Get me out of here”, the Taichung High Subsidiary Courts still found Liao guilty for forced sexual act, sentenced him to three years six months; and on the obstruction of freedom charges, he was sentenced to three months in jail, he can pay his way out of serving the time for that.
The verdict stated, that Liao was divorced, and left to raise his own daughter. Last April, after he’d gone to a bar, and bought three hour’s time to take a woman out. Liao originally wanted to take the woman to a motel, but, he’d gone to two motels, and his credit card wouldn’t swipe, and the woman said she’d not wanted to have sex with him, Liao told her, he wanted to go home to get the money, so she can take it back to the bar, to pay up his tab, but, as he’d taken the woman home, he’d, dragged her forcibly into his own daughter’s room, and raped her.
Early the next morning at six, Liao’s high school age daughter was getting ready for school, she’d found that her bedroom was locked, and she’d called out, nobody answered, she’d used the key, and was shocked to find her father in only his underwear, and the woman, with that look of panic, hidden herself in the corner of her bedroom, as she saw the female high school student, she’d called out to her, “Take me away now!” The school girl immediately gave her father hell, and the woman got away using the time, Liao chased her outside in his underwear, choked the woman’s neck, and attempted to drag her back inside his house, as Liao’s nephew saw this, he’d called the police.
In his first trial, Liao was sentenced to three years ten months for rape, and for obstruction of freedom, he received four months; he’d settled the case using $100,000N.T. with the woman, then appealed, claimed, that it was the unspoken rules, that those ladies sitting by the bars are for “sale”, that as the bar ladies were taken home, they knew that they were, supposed, to be selling, but the Taichung High Subsidiary Courts didn’t believe his claims, but, considering that Liao already made a settlement agreement with the woman, they were considering reducing his jail sentence. The case can still be appealed.
Yeah, uh, you’ve GOT to be SHITTING me here, who says, that a woman who works at a bar, is required to SELL her body, once she’s taken out by a customer? And this man set a very AWFUL example for his own teenage daughter, and, chances are, now that his daughter saw him do this, she will be, more than likely, to be victimized by a LOSER, just like her father too!
