You were caught, committing FRAUD in China, served your time there, and now, you’d gotten extradited back here, and, the D.A. gave you a slap on the wrists for the crimes you’d committed overseas, so, do you think this LOSER learned anything?  Of course N-O-T, but hey, that’s the laws, and, there’s, NO contesting the rulings, from the Front Page Sections, translated…

The scam ring eight years ago set up shop in Thailand to scam the public, after related agencies investigated the matter, the Taiwanese driver, Lee was caught in China, was sentenced locally to eight years of prison time, with the fines of 50,000RMB; but the suspect, Chen who was tried here in Taiwan only received two and a half years, with the rest of the accomplices serving three months to fifteen months each.  The entry level police officers stated, the punishment was so different, it’s a wonder, that after the scam rings get caught, they all wanted to be extradited to Taiwan for the trials.

After Lee served his sentence in China, he’d returned back to Taiwan, and he was indicted by the D.A.’s office for the same charges, the Tainan District Court found him guilty of fraud, and sentenced him to a year four months in prison, but believed, that Lee’s time served was past the maximum limit of five years for fraud, and so, due to the relations with across the straits, he’d not needed to serve any more time here; and he was fined 50,000RMBs in China (about $225,000 N.T.’s), which already exceeded what he’d made in the scams, so, the government isn’t going to confiscate any more money from him, and this can still be appealed.

The verdict pointed out, that eight years ago, Lee entered into the scam artist ring with Chen as the leader, followed the orders, gone to Zhuhai and other locations in China, set up dummy accounts with the ATM cards, made withdraws, he was caught locally, and was sentenced to eight and a half years in prison locally and made to pay a fine of 50,000RMBs, after two reductions of the sentences, he’d served a total of seven years, three months, then, was released, returned to Taiwan.

And this, is still NOT a severe enough punishment, just because this scam artist was caught in China, and served time overseas, that still doesn’t mean that he should, get off easy here.
