The rescuers were Yo and Lee, who are currently serving in the armed services, they went to the same school together, both serving their armed services terms in Taichung; the two men, and another member of the public who’d saved the family from drowning, Lin, were all surfers. Yo said, that back then, he was about a meter away from the three people who’d fallen into the oceans, he saw that the situation was emergent, and so, he’d, rushed in to save them, he never thought, that he would “save someone’s life while surfboarding”.
The police investigated, that the 36-year-old man, Wu yesterday, took his wife, their eight-year-old daughter, six-year-old son to the beach by the harbor to swim; at around one in the afternoon, the six-year-old son was carried away by a tidal wave, the couple felt urgent, and jumped into the oceans to save their child, but the waves were too fierce, carried all three of them out to sea.

Yo and Lee, who’d gone to surf close by heard the calls for help, and lifted their heads, saw the family of three sinking and floating in the oceans, without much though, the two men started pedaling out on their surf boards, another man who was surfing Lin saw, and also, joined in.
The three men first rescued the six-year-old child, Lee then rode him back to shore on his surfboard, Yo and Lin rushed to save the couple, first, they’d used their boards to get the couple closer to shore, then, the coastguard came with the rubber boats.
All three members of the family took gulps of the water, but gladly, the three men got to the family of three on time, that they were, okay, they’re now, at home, resting; Yo, Lee and Lin were very happy that they were able to successfully save the family of three, and their act of kindness were all affirmed by the locals.
So, this, is how three men put their lives in harm’s way, to rescue this family of three that was drowning in the oceans, and because they saw that the situation was emergent, and that the family needed immediate rescue, they’d just, leapt into the waters and saved them, putting their lives in harm’s way, and, who SAYS, that altruism doesn’t exist in this world???
