A Robber with a Helmet and a Bandana Covering Up His Face Entered into the Shihlin Branch of Rui-Xing Bank, Took a Client, Liu Hostage ,Then Tossed a Shopping Bag onto the Counter, Hollered, “Everybody Give Up Your Valuables”, the Teller Worried that Harm May Come to the Hostage, She’d Thrown $300,000N.T. in Cash into the Bags, the Robber Got Away with the Bags, on a Motorcycle.
The police told, the robber was around twenty years of age, and took only ONE minute to rob the bank, based off of how leisurely he’d walked into the bank, and selecting the noon hour, as there are not that many tellers on duty, it seemed that it’s, a planned incident.
The police investigated, that at around one in the afternoon yesterday, a slim robber of about 170 centimeters tall, dressed in black t-shirt, jeans, and a helmet over his head, as well as a face mask, with industrial gloves entered into the Rui-Xing Business Bank in Shihlin. He’d marched up to the counter, and got close to the woman, Liu who was making a withdraw, then flashed the knife, put it against Liu’s neck, then tossed the bag into the counters.
The robber said to the bank teller, “Give me all your money!”, the teller immediately placed $30,000N.T. in cash into the bags; the robber immediately ran out of the bank, got on the getaway motorcycle he’d stolen awhile ago, but shortly thereafter, he’d ditched the motorcycle at the side of the road, and took a cab to get away.
Liu was a secretary of the Police unit’s sixth squad, taking her lunch break, to sort through her financial matters at the bank during her lunch hour; as the police arrived, she was still in shock. She said, that as she was being taken hostage, she was very scared, and nervous, that she didn’t take a mental note of what the robber looked like.
The manager of the Rui-Xing Bank in Shihlin, Hong pointed out, that because the bank at the location was smaller scaled, they’d not hired a security guard; as the teller saw the robber closing in on Liu, she thought he was Liu’s friend, until the robber attacked, that was when she realized, that something was off, immediately, she’d tossed the money into the bags; after the robber got away, the teller pressed the emergency button, and the officers arrived in three minutes’ time.
He said, back then, there were three customers who were in the bank, and in order to protect the customers, that was why the teller grabbed a stack of bills and handed it to the robber, and, just as the teller had hoped, he’d taken the money, and ran off, the clients and the teller were unharmed.
After the robbery, the bank rolled down the steel doors halfway, but still opened for business until 3:30 in the afternoon, the police already reviewed the evidence, and called up the owner of the stolen getaway motorcycle that the robber had ridden off in to clarify the details of the case.
So, this is when a human life IS worth MORE than money, and, in these cases, the robbers just wanted money, and if you gave them what they wanted, then, chances will be, that they wouldn’t harm the innocents, and the teller was very brave, in that she’d remained calm throughout the incident, and she’d managed, to keep the customer from being harmed too.
