A woman, Lin got pregnant out of wedlock, worried that she couldn’t afford to raise her own son still inside of her uterus, she’d signed a contract, with a man in his seventies, Chen, who’d wanted someone to carry on his family’s last name, falsely married him, then after she gave birth, she’d sold her own son for $220,000N.T. to the man. The Taipei District Court closed the case and yesterday, the judge found three adult who were involved in this all guilty of “Child trafficking”.

Of the convicted, the mother, Lin was sentenced to two years eight months, and all the money she’d received for selling her own son was, confiscated by the courts; and the woman, Huang who’d matched the elderly with her, and took the fees, received a-year-three-months in jail, with three years’ probation; and the man, Chen, who’d bought the infant, received two years in prison, and three years of probation, and fined $100,000N.T. Both the D.A. and the individuals can still appeal.
Lin got pregnant back in 2015, and through her coworker in a kindergarten, Huang, met the man, Chen, who had two daughters but no son, in October of 2015, the three met up at a coffee shop, Chen first suggested that he should marry Lin falsely, and waited until the male infant was born, and successfully registered the infant as his own young, then, he would pay Lin $20,000N.T.s, and afterwards, Lin would divorce, and ask nothing more of the man.
In January of the year after Lin and Chen falsely married, the child was born, the third day, Chen took the infant home, registered him under his household registry, with his own last name, then, he’d paid Lin $220,000N.T., Lin took $120,000N.T. from what she was paid, to pay it to Huang as a thank you, and planned to sign the divorce agreement in June, the police were reported that someone was selling an infant, they’d indicted Lin, Huang, and Chen together.
In the trials, Lin denied having SOLD her own son claimed, that the money from Chen was for the recovery phase after birth; Lin’s lawyer argued that Lin did what she’d done, because she’d wanted a better life for her own son, that was why she’d made an agreement with Chen. Chen claimed, that in order to have a male heir, that was why he’d signed the agreements with Lin, “there’s NO selling of the infant”.
But, the verdict pointed out, that as Lin and Chen signed the contract, Chen was in his seventies, not in his prime, and Lin agreed to allow an “older man to care for her young alone”, and used her son, to solve her own money problems, and the infant’s right and caretaking, they’d not considered in the agreements, that both parties had, treated the infant as a “traded good”.
Yeah, uh, if that’s not BAD, I don’t know WHAT is! I mean, this woman got PREGNANT out of WEDLOCK, she did agree, to get FUCKED by some unknown loser, and now she’s pregnant, and an elderly man came along, wanted to have a male heir to his name, and so, the mother SOLD her own son, for MONEY, wow, how BAD can these parents be??? And perhaps, the woman is just, NOT yet mature enough, to be a GOOD mommy, as NO sane MOTHERS would SELL their own infant child, not for a “profit”!!!
