Sometimes, a dying wish is just, too simple, like this mother’s, and the kids made the mother’s wish come true too! From the Newspapers, translated…
This performance with the bells, there was only one member of the audience, in honor of mom, the world champion team from Houlong Elementary’s Bell team member, just entered into their first year of middle school, yesterday, the team members put up a show, of their team member, Chang’s mother who’s in her terminal stage of cancer, they’d wished her get well soon, and hoped that they could come see them perform again.
The fifty-three year-old Mrs. Chang’s husband died early, and three years ago, she was ill, went to the doctors, and was diagnosed as having the third stage of nasopharyngeal cancer, but in order to provide for her family, she’d put off treating her cancer; at the start of this year, the cancer metastasized, and she was hospitalized in the Da-Chien Hospital’s terminal ward in Miaoli. She’d disclosed to the therapist, that she’d wanted to see her daughter perform on the bells again, because it’d been two years since she saw her daughter in action.
the students now all middle school students, had returned back to the elementary school, to perform for the mother of the team member, phoot from UDN.com…
The hospital started preparing last Thursday, and yesterday afternoon at three, they’d sent two doctors, three nurses, and over ten hospital staff members, and took her on an ambulance to the Houlong Elementary School’s auditorium, and the sixteen members of the world championship team returned back to their alma mater, and “performed, solely for Mrs. Chang”.
This special performance started with the solo performance of Chang, she performed alone onstage for about ten minutes; some of the team members were all moved to tears, they’d offered the flowers, and the get-well-cards to Mrs. Chang, hoped that she could get better soon, and come to their performances again.
And her daughter wanted the mother to continue the fight, and, as the ambulance took her mother, she’d still held on to her mother tightly; her mother told her again and again, to be well-behaved, and said that she was overjoyed to be able to see her daughter perform, it’d made a lot of people who were there cried.
So, this, is a story of what is going to be lost, because the mother felt she won’t win the fight against her cancer, she’d made this last wish, to see her daughter perform with her team members, and, it’s really very sad, to think about, how young this child would be, as her mother was, about to die of cancer………
