The Grandmother Testified, that She Noted the Injuries on Her Young Grandson, “He is Famished, Living with His Father”, the Three-Year-Old’s Custody Went to His Mother

A truck driver, Yo, accumulated too much dead after his divorce, and couldn’t care for his own three-year-old young son, there were often bug bitemarks on the child, and he’d used a knife, and threatened, “I’ll sever him in half”, the maternal grandmother of the young child testified, that “my grandson is starved, living with him, in his custody”, the judge mandated that the custody of this toddler given to the mother.

The Taoyuan District Courts investigated, that Yo had been married for over four years, because he was sentenced for solicitation of sex, at the start of this year, his wife filed for divorce, the three-year-old young son’s custody went to the child’s father.

Yo’s ex-wife pointed out to the court, that after her ex divorced, he’d done nothing for a job, took to the bottle, and is a habitual gambler too, and borrowed money for a living, he’d not had any mind on caring for their young son.

Between the months of March and May this year, she’d found that her son was covered in dirt and dust, appeared unclean, and had insect bitemarks all over his hands and legs, and there were burn marks on him too, his face would swell up as well.  She’d suspected that her ex had abused their young, but, her ex showed a bad attitude of “not my problem”, and threatened her with a knife, “I’ll cut him in half”, she’d believed that her young son didn’t get the proper care that he’d needed, and worried about his safety too, and asked the courts to change the custody to her, and made her ex pay her alimony and child support.

As the court was in session, Yo claimed he’d never used violence on his son, just didn’t have enough time to care for him, that the burn mark on his young son’s legs were from his running into the exhaust pipes of the motorcycles by accident, that he’d found a job right now, refused to give custody of his young son to his ex-wife, “Why should I be paying her alimony and child support”.

As the social workers visited, “the toddler cried for his mom”, was covered it stains, with the insect bite marks all over his body and face.  The judge called the young child’s maternal grandmother to the stand, she said, “if my grandson is in his custody, he may not have enough food to eat at all”, she’d pointed out that her ex-son-in-law was irresponsible, without a stable job, couldn’t possibly raise his own son.

The judge reviewed over the medical records, with the documentations of the injuries, and took in the maternal grandmother’s testimonies, and believed, that the child, if staying with the father, would be abused, and not have the meals properly, mandated the custody goes to his mother, and that the father needed to pay the $8,000N.T. per month in alimony and child support to her.

So, because this young child couldn’t receive the proper care, living with his own father after his parents were divorced, the judge ruled in the child’s best interests this time, and besides, this man has a previous history of violence, which makes him, a WORSE candidate for the custody of his own young, compared to the child’s mother.
