A Kindhearted Woman, She Was Robbed, and Yet, Still Spoke on Behalf of the Man Who Robbed Her

The nineteen-year-old man, Chang at the end of July, followed the woman who was all alone, Shen, strangled her until she was out of air, then, managed to rob her of $700N.T.s with a toy gun; afterwards, Shen decided to forgive the man, and spoken on Chang’s behalf with the courts too.  The courts considered how Chang was a minor, that he was pressed by his economics, and sentenced him to two years six months in prison based off of robbery.

The police investigated, that on the afternoon at around two, Chang took a plastic toy gun, with a helmet covering up his face, and saw She in the alleys of An-Yi Road, he’d followed behind her, then, choked Shen’s neck with his left hand, and threatened her with the toy gun in his right, “Hand me your money!”

Shen was scared, and so, she gave him the $700 N.T.s in cash that she had, after Chang got the money, he’d hopped onto his mo-ped and made his escape.  Five hours later, the police arrested Chang in the Zhongshan bridge area.

As Chang was taken in, he’d claimed, that he’d taken the loans from the loan sharks, and was forced to pay back the high interests, that he couldn’t afford, that, was why he’d committed the robbery, and he did, return the $700N.T.s he’d robbed from Shen back to her already, and the woman had, agreed to forgive him as well; other than reaching a settlement, in court, Shen also begged the courts, to sentence Chang lightly.

The courts took into considerations that Chang was not yet an adult, only had a technical high school education, and his family, poor, and he’d only robbed $700N.T.s from Shen, and he’d shown a good attitude after the robbery, agreed to giving him a reduced sentence, and sentenced him to two years six months in prison for the robbery charges.

Because under the circumstances, the man was impoverished, and needed some cash, he’d robbed this woman, of the $700N.T. in cash she had, and after he was caught, he’d shown a good attitude, and apologized, and the amount he robbed the woman of wasn’t that high, so, the courts gave him probation, and besides, the woman whom he’d robbed was willing to forgive him for it.  Well, look at it this way, this time, he’d only robbed someone of a couple hundred dollars N.T., but, who’s to say, that he won’t escalate after he’d received this tiny SLAP on his wrist, and become a criminal?  Besides, remorse can easily be faked, you do realize that, don’t you???
