A man, Chen who works with his research colleague, Lee shared an apartment together, he was suspected of placing his cell phone in the bathrooms and filming Lee in the showers long term, until a friend of Lee’s came over to stay and went into the bathrooms to shower and found; the police found the files of his photographing his coworker while she was showering in the computer from his office, and he’d admitted to voyeurism, he was charged with obstruction of privacy, and taken into custody.
Based off of investigations, Chen (age 38) worked as a research assistant in the Central Research Institution, rented a home with his wife close by to work, with a roommate, Lee (age 39), who works as a research assistant in the Central Research Institution. After Lee realized that Chen had filmed her when she was in the showers, she’d cried in disbelief, as they’d known one another for over a decade’s time, and stated, “I will SUE him!”
Chen excused himself, that the footages were for his viewing pleasures only, that he’d not, spread it out yet, “I know what I did was wrong, and I’d, wronged my wife and my coworker.”
At the noon hour of the 26th of last month, Lee and her friend, Kuo (age 35) went to play tennis together, afterwards, they’d returned back to Lee’s place to take a shower, and, Kuo had found a cell phone inside the cabinets of the bathrooms, heating up, and was shocked to discover, that it was recording, and learned that Chen had, placed it there, she’d not known what to do, she’d deleted the footage, and, afterwards when she walked out, Chen said he needed to use the bathroom, she’d feared that the phone will be taken by Chen, and, returned to get it.
Kuo excused herself, and told Lee, “I’d been filmed secretively”, the two of them immediately went to the police, as the police arrived, Chen and his wife went to a wedding banquet, and, they’d examined the phone, and found that Lee had been secretly filmed too, the police waited for Chen to return, and took him into custody. Chen admitted that he’d placed the cell there before Kuo went into shower, and, he’d pressed the record button because he was only “curious and wanted to see”, and in the past six months, he’d used the same measures to secretly film Lee, and had once opened up her bedroom doors in the nights to film her in her sleep.
The police confiscated Chen’s laptop and cell, and found there to be seven to eight footages as well as over ten photos, and other than Lee being filmed without her knowledge, there was also another woman changing her clothes, walking naked in the room, Chen stated, that it was the former neighbor who’d lived opposite of their apartment, the police are doing a search, to identify this woman.
So, that just showed, how easily you can get photographed, and, it’s still by a pretty well-respected worker in a government owned research institution, and this still just showed, how there’s no way of identifying voyeurs by the way they appeared, because, just like those sexual predators, they also don’t have a sign on their back, or that tattoo over their forehead, identifying themselves to the rest of the public.
