This is what OLD age looked like for a lot of people in the world right now, because we’re living longer and longer, and, therefore, there are now, a lot more of the ailments/conditions of old age that people never anticipated from say??? A pair of elderly couple of about age sixty were found in their residence last night, died from drinking the pesticides inside their bedroom. Based off of understanding, the husband was suffering with long-term insomnia, the wife, depression, at the preliminaries, the police deducted that they committed suicide because of being troubled by their illnesses; in the Peace Island of Keelung, there was also a pair of elderly couple, the Lius who’d committed suicide by leaping into the oceans, the wife had died from drowning, the husband, after being rescued, is now in recovery.
The Hsiehs were married for a long time, lived in Beitou District, but the husband had been overcome with insomnia, became physically fatigued during the daytime a lot, his wife was diagnosed with depression. Their son returned home at six yesterday, and nobody answered the door, he’d entered into their bedrooms, and found both his parents lying on the floor, unresponsive, there was a bottle of pesticide close by, he’d immediately notified the police.
As the police and fire department rushed over, Hsieh’s wife had been dead for some time already, Hsieh had stopped breathing, after rushing him to the VMH, he’d still died after the emergency resuscitation measures were taken. The police stated, that there was a bottle of “Fast Weeds”, a pesticide to kill the weeds, is considered a strong poison. And, at eight in the evening last night, a pair of elderly couple, the Lius of about seventy years old, took a cab to the Peace Island in Keelung, after a chat that they had, they’d leapt into the oceans, because of their being ill long-term; as the firefighters arrived, the seventy-year-old elderly woman lost her heartrate, and died on the way to the hospital, while the seventy-six year-old husband was not in life-threatening danger.
Liu told the police, that his wife is not well physically, she was overcome with illnesses, at the time, they were just sitting by the oceans, and, they’d started talking about death, and agreed to commit suicide together by leaping into the oceans hand-in-hand.
So, reasons for the elderly wanting to die, are none other than being overcome with illness, and, as we age, our bodies became frail, and, eventually, the organs stop working one by one, and, perhaps, these couples needed more social support, or maybe, no amount of social support is helpful to them, because they’re the ones, living with their ailing health conditions, and the only way out was to commit suicide.
