The officer, Chen, from the Keelung city’s police second substation was found having committed suicide by hanging in his own bathroom, he died after being rushed to the hospital; the police found a note, it’d mentioned how he’d, stopped writing, they’d believed, that after the courts mandated the divorce from his ex-wife, he was depressed, and that, was why he’d, committed suicide, the D.A.’s Office already asked the police department to examine the cause of his death closely right now.
Chen’s mother was very distraught that she couldn’t speak a word; Chen’s coworker told, that he’d once saved the life of a man who couldn’t get over a lost love from jumping off a building to commit suicide from before, that he’d not expected, that he couldn’t, get over the loss of his own marriage too, that it’s very, upsetting, and it’d sadden him, to see how Chen took his own life.
The police stated, that Chen the office (age 42), went out on calls for the subprecinct for multiple years, recently, he’d filed for a transfer to the first unit of the substation, he’d interacted well with the coworkers wonderfully, there wasn’t any signs of distress he’d shown; two evenings ago, after the events were over, everybody was still having a good time at the office, chit-chatting away, but yesterday, Chen took the morning off, and in the afternoon, his small team leader couldn’t get a hold of him, at four in the afternoon, his coworker went with his mother to his residence, and found him having hung himself in the bathrooms.

Chen left a note on the desk, stating how upset he’d become of his own divorce, hoped that his family could take care of his final affairs, then, signed it as his final note, but without the dates; the police also discovered, that in the communication Chen had with his ex-wife, from two years ago, there was mentioning of how he’d wanted to kill himself by hanging, until the divorce was finalized recently, he’d, killed himself.
So we have this man who was, seemingly amicable, outgoing, sociable, but he was troubled by his own emotional distress from being divorced from his own ex-wife, and he couldn’t get over the fact, that his wife had, divorced him, and he’d, killed himself, this just showed, how men can mask themselves up so very well, to the point, that nobody around them even noticed anything. Had this man had a good friend who can help give him guidance, whom he can pour his heart out to, then, maybe, things wouldn’t’ve have, ended like this…
