A Patient with a White Supremacist Belief Refused to Get Treated by an Asian Physician

Since the White Supremacist March in Charlottesville, Virginia, the issues of racism was, brought to the light, and this had spread to the medical realm as well.  The Korean E.R. Doctor, Esther Choo from Portland, Oregon, has various professional certifications, but she’d had a white supremacist patient who saw she was Asian, and refused to get treated by her.

Esther graduated from Yale Medical School, was a resident at Boston Hospital, received numerous awards, published a dozen articles in the medical journals, with fifteen years of working experiences in the medical field; and yet, this, was not important, to this WHITE picky patient of hers, simply because she was, Asian.

After the riot in Charlottesville, Virginia, Doctor Esther said, “there are many white supremacist in Oregon, I’d encountered several cases in the E.R. when the patients refused to get treated by me because I’m Asian each and every year.”

The Korean-America doctor said, every time she’d met a racist patient, she’d always promised them that she would give them the grade-A medical treatments, stressed how she’d earned her medical degree in a namely university, and that she was the doctor, with the most experiences.

But even so, these WHITE patients still refused to get treated by her, or would rather be treated by the interns, “Shocking, isn’t it?”, Dr. Esther tweeted.

Dr. Esther’s experiences with racism, was nothing NEW, and it’s still NOT just happening in America.

In a 2011 survey toward physicians in Canada, thirty-five percent stated they’d been racially misunderstood by the patients, and there were another twenty-seven percent who’d stated that they were discriminated because of their gender.

So, wonder WHEN and HOW this bad wind will finally stop blowing???  Well, that’s, the FIRST day of NEVER!  Because the leader of U.S. President TRUMP IS racist, and naturally, you can’t possibly believe, that under HIS leadership, the citizens will behave otherwise, as we’re all, following the leader here, aren’t we?  But, this woman WAS a certified doctor, a graduate of an IVY LEAGUE school, and yet, she’s still, distrusted by her patients???  What has this world come to, huh???
