The Son of a Rich Family Refused to Get Taken in by the Police, So He’d Modeled After the Suicide Bombers, Blew Himself Up with an Officer

To get BACK at his wife who’d separated from him!  From the Front Page Sections, translated…

A man, Lin was suspected of mailing explosives to threaten his separated wife, yesterday morning as the police arrested him, he’d detonated the homemade bomb inside his fanny pack, injured himself in the thoracic and his right hand, the sergeant, Pan who was closest to him couldn’t dodge it in time, and was injured, his hands, his waist, groin all suffered severe burns, he also had a lacerated palm; the two were taken to the hospital immediately, they’re not in life-threatening danger right now.

The police investigated, the thirty-eight year-old Lin had priors in ammunition and drugs, was suspected of being displeased at how his wife filed for a separation from him, on the fourth, he’d sent a homemade bomb anonymously to his wife’s home as threat; after the local police department identified it was him, yesterday they’d gone to his residence in Haifeng Street in Pingdong to arrest him.

The lieutenant, Chang took a squadron to ambush him, at around ten in the morning yesterday, the suspect, Lin went out, got on his motorcycle, Pan saw an opportunity, as he was about to ride on his motorcycle, made an arrest, as Lin saw the police approached him, he’d called aloud, “Don’t move”, then, placed his hands into his fanny pack, to start the bomb; Pan, the sergeant, because he was too close and couldn’t get backward fast enough, was injured by the bomb alongside the suspect.  The two men were conscious, but both suffered second to third degree burns, they were both, transferred to the Changgang Hospital in Kaohsiung.

Afterwards, the forensic investigators found the broken pieces of the homemade bomb, the iron balls, along with the steel nails, but couldn’t determine what these items were placed in.  Chang, the officer stated, that back then, he’d heard a loud “Boom!”, louder than the regular firecrackers, suspected, that it was, the normal black dynamite; he said, that Lin had the intention of committing suicide in the process, and he’d not expected, that he’d, put himself, in harm’s way.

The neighbors and the families stated, that Lin and his wife had been married for ten years, they have a son and a daughter together, they are well-to-do; but these couple of years, Lin’s wife took the children and moved in with her parents time and time again, Lin had filed for two restraining orders against him, the first time was three years ago, the second was just this May, back then, the two had already, separated.

The police stated, although the bomb didn’t have enough power to kill, but it was to a certain level of professionalism, they’re waiting until he’s stabilized, to ask him how he’d made the bomb, and they will be charging him with obstructions of justice, public endangerment, as well as owning dangerous weapons.

So, because this man was displeased at how his wife wanted to divorce him, after all, the next step that comes after the separation would BE divorce!  So, he’d, attempted to take revenge on her, and instead, he’d, injured the officers who tried to arrest him.  How easily, love became, REVENGE!
