You shouldn’t have gone out hiking, UP one of the hundred tallest peaks in Taiwan, in this WEATHER!!! From the Front Page Sections, translated…
Typhoon Nesat headed straight toward the east, and the wind and rain grew harsher in Hualien, a team of hikers originally planned to head off the mountains yesterday, but, as they got to the just 1.6 km away from the hiking entrance, the teammate, Huang lost his foothold, felt to two hundred meters below, into the valleys. As the police and fire department got to him, he had already died, they’d used the helicopters to lift his body, and as the families, friends, and relatives heard the news, they were all, grief-struck.
The thirty-three-year-old hiker, Huang from Taipei, on the 22nd, had applied for the right of passage to hike up the eastern slopes of Chilai Mountain, the eight-day hike carried them through three of the major peaks in Taiwan, they’d originally planned to return back from the water checking point yesterday.

But because of the typhoon, the twenty-two members of this hiking group rushed down by separated teams to dodge the typhoon. The first group had already returned back down the mountains two days ago, Huang and eight others were lagging behind; they’d originally planned to head off yesterday at noon, but, at 1.6 kilometers away from the Shapodang hiking entrance, Huang slipped and fell into the trough below. As his teammates heard him cry out for help, it was already too late to give him a hand, the teammates called out to Huang, and they’d not heard any replies, and immediately notified the police.
The police and fire department stated, that at 7:20 yesterday morning, they’d received the calls, that as Huang passed through the hiking trails, the roads became too slippery because of the rain, he’d, slipped and fell to the valleys two hundred meters down below; the leader of the hiking team went down to find Huang first, the other seven members of the team waited around for the paramedics.

It took about two hours by the police and fire departments, at nine in the morning, when they finally found Huang, he was already, without the signs of life. The rescuers wrapped up his body, and transported his body using manpower, to the closest helicopter station, then, the helicopter lifted him away, got him to the ground before the storms hit.
Huang who had died loved heading outdoors, he’d hiked up the peaks, to challenge himself, and there were photos of him, conquering the peaks, but this time, he’d died, doing something that he’d loved, it’d made all his friends and relatives feel grief-struck, and they’d left messages of condolences on his FB pages.
So, this guy is either too STUPID, or didn’t have ANY sense! He should’ve KNOWN better than to go hiking in the toughest peaks during the seasons of the typhoon (hello, hello, hello??? Are you just, PLAIN stupid!!!), and yeah, the loss of his life happened, but I have NO sympathies for those people who jeopardize their own lives, and put other people’s lives in danger too, just imagine how hard it must’ve been, for the rescuers, to search for his dead body, and, what if, one of those rescuers died in the process too, huh??? So, pardon ME, for NOT feeling sorry of the loss of HIS life!
