A Woman Dressed in Red Leapt Off into the Oceans, the Waves Grew Strong, Making Search & Rescue Harder

Someone committed suicide!  From the Front Page Sections, translated…

On the eve of Typhoon Nesat landing, on the bridge connecting Penghu to Taiwan, there was a woman, dressed in red, that took a leap from the bridge yesterday morning, because the waves were rising, the woman was carried all the way to the westside of the bridge, into the oceans, the fishers on the bridge saw her, and reported it.  Because of the external flow of the typhoon, the rescue boats from the fire department couldn’t get into the oceans, other than having the coastguards search by the boats, they’d also had the helicopters to search, but, up to evening of yesterday, they’d still not found her yet.

The Whitesand Police Substation in Penghu investigated, that there was a motorcycle that seemed to have belonged to the woman, the police tracked the vehicle registry down, and found that it was owned by the forty-five-year-old Tsai who lived in the city of Magong.  Tsai’s husband, Hsu told the police, that his wife was ill, and had suicidal thoughts, yesterday morning he saw his wife head out, and felt something wasn’t right, he’d followed her out, and saw officers and the fire department around the bridge, he’d gone up to look, and found his wife’s motorcycle parked by the side of the bridge.

The Whitesand Police Substation stated, that because of the perfusions from the typhoon, the waves were rushing, there was also, this lack of opacity underneath the waters, the divers couldn’t immediately start the search, and so, the police first took Tsai’s information down, as a missing person’s.

So, this woman was suicidal, and she’d utilized the eve of this typhoon, to kill herself, and, it is just, tragic, how she’d, chosen to end her own life!
