The scam rings falsified themselves as hotties with a ton of money from Hong Kong, set up connections online, and scammed the cougars in Taiwan, and enticed the women to wire money for investments to Hong Kong, there’d been over hundreds of ladies who were scammed in this past year, losing a total of three hundred million dollars in sum; the Detective Agency in Taiwan worked in correspondences with the police in Hong Kong, chased down the fake accounts, the drivers, and caught a total of fifty-three members of this scam ring, the members came from Taiwan, Hong Kong, as well as China too, there was also, a manager of a bank in Hong Kong who was involved too.
Based off of investigations, the members of the ring claimed themselves to be a part the banking industry, the securities agencies’ managers, through Facebook and other form of communications app, posted the photos of the good looking younger guys they’d found online, and started dating women here falsely, and claimed to have insider information on the stock exchanges, or that they have a shipment stuck in customs, and had the victims wired the money into the bank accounts in Hong Kong.
The police found that the 127 victims ages from 35 to 55, they’re mostly, unmarried cougars, with stable sources of income, teachers, business women, or bank tellers, there were also married ladies who are retired who were victims, and begged the police, “Don’t let my husband know”; the woman, Lin working in business lost the most, she was scammed for $17 million N.T.’s, some were so in love that they’d borrowed money from the loan sharks to pay up the scam group. The primary suspect, Chang (age 43) in Taiwan had gotten the laborers, the junkies, or the unemployed, to act as the head counts.
So, because of how desperate these ladies were in need of love, that, was how and why those scam artists were successful in scamming them, these men used the ladies need for love, and worked it against them, and because the women were too desperate, that’s made them, an easier target.
