Observations, and relating it to the world right now, translated…
Piece, by piece, carefully, put together, step, by step, making history, this was, the oldest mosaic I’d ever encountered, they’re from the remains of mid-strip England’s Chedworth Roman Villa, it dates back to the fourth century, about 1,600 years ago.
During the Roman Empire, the decorated lobby with the mosaics symbolized wealth and power, and the rich people are using it, to show off how rich they are, it was, the trend back then. And now, the places where mosaics were found in are most often in the bathrooms, and, the place of mosaics in statuses, no longer what it used to be.
I’d searched for mosaics online, couldn’t find enough facts about it, the first few I’d found, are on the blurred out photographs on the television footages, it’s, really, upsetting. A thousand years later, the visibility of mosaics had, reduced by a lot, just like the Roman Empire was too.
So, it ain’t what it used to be is what this is all about, those places with historical attachments, surely, they are, all very, majestic, but, coming back to reality, you’d realized, that life isn’t what it was back then, and you’d felt, a bit, upset, seeing how the world had changed, not for the better, but for worse!
