The Sergeant Was Angered at His Wife Over How the Cat Urinated Over the Places in His Home, He’d Splashed a Strong Basic Solvent on His Own Wife

The officer from the Intelligence Department, Chu and his wife, Chen, started having verbal altercations on the cats at home, he was displeased, at how his wife talked of divorcing him because of the cats, two days ago, he took a strong basic solvent, and poured it all over his own wife, causing her to suffer second degree burns over twenty-seven percent of her body.

After Chu committed the crimes, he rode his motorcycle overnight to Hualien, yesterday he’d returned back home, and was caught by the police, and booked for assault, domestic violence; the Department of Military Intelligence told, that they’re going to look into the case, and hand him a severe punishment, and they’d decided, that he wasn’t, fitted, for his post anymore

The police investigations discovered, that the thirty-one-year-old Chu and his wife, Chen were married four years, the two of them rented a suite in Shihlin together, Chu works as a sergeant at the Intelligence office, his wife set up shop at Shihlin Night Market, selling jewelry.

Chu’s wife had two kittens, and because their living space was small, the cat would urinate and defecate all over the places, and, the cat urine would get on Chu’s clothes, and he’d told his wife, and she’d told him, “just wash it then”, they’d fought multiple times over the pets.

On the morning of the first of this month, the two got into it again over the pets, his wife believed, that they could no longer communicate with each other, and wanted a divorce, and left to find a new place for herself; Chu LINED her multiple times, but she’d not, answered him back, he became angrier and angrier, went to the hardware store, picked up some sodium hydroxide tablets, melted them in water, at eight in the evening, as he saw his wife come back home, he’d, poured it down her head.

Chen’s head and upper body was infiltrated by the strong basic solution, she’d screamed out in pain, rushed from the sixth floor to the ground floor, to ask the super for assistance, the super used a hose, washed her with water, then, sent her to Sinkuang Hospital for help; she suffered twenty-seven percent second-degree burns over her body, she’d swallowed some strong basic solutions, couldn’t speak temporarily, the hospitals kept her overnight for observations.

As Chu poured the solution all over his own wife, the solution got on his own hands, and feet as well, he’d told the police, that after he committed the crime, he rode his heavy motorcycle away, to Hualien to see the oceans; as the skies turned light early yesterday morn, he’d rode back up north to Taipei, returned to their residence at ten in the morn.

The police found his motorcycle downstairs at around noon, sent a team of officers to ambush him, and, notified his parents to come up from Miaoli to help them; the officers accompanied Chu’s father and knocked on his doors, five minutes later, he’d answered, he was peaceful, and didn’t fight his arrest.  As the police interrogated him, he said he felt remorseful, that he worried about how badly he’d, injured his own wife, hoped that they could give him a chance, to visit her at the hospital.

So, in that particular moment, this man lost emotional control, and, did something irreparable, and, I’m more than certain, that his wife loving the cats too much is only, a trigger!
