The paper told of the story of how the daughter of a star was cyberbullied, to the point that her wedding was called off, and she’d tried to kill herself because of it. I was so heartfelt at this story, as it wasn’t, the very first of its kind. And, getting down to it, there are, those self-righteous people all over the corners of the world, who’d not been lenient the least bit.
And, on a grander scale, the wars, revolutions, the massacres, the terrorist attacks that happened in the world, which one of them wasn’t in the “name of justice”? And, with that name of justice, we get to, pursue until death, causing bloodshed with no sight on the consequences. Any debatable issues in the online community can spark a lot of people to feel “justice oriented”, and, all we have to do, is to work our keyboards, and, we can rant on all we want to, and, ended up, torturing, god knows how many, actually, this, is comparable to the trials in the Medieval times or the time of the Cultural Revolution in history, with the only difference being, that we’d waited, for the victims to become abandoned by society or that s/he, kills her/himself over it finally.
Justice was the highest pursuit of all goals of society, but now, it’d become, synonymous with something awful, because forgot the spirit of being tolerant, and, tolerance is actually, a much higher purpose morale compared to justice; without the values of tolerance, we’d gotten, caught up in the narrowmindedness, the obsessions, an eye for an eye, and, we’d, fallen deeply, into, this, vicious cycle.
Yes, it is easy, to confuse justice with getting even, and, in the pursuit of the name of justice (note: it’s actually, NOWHERE NEAR justice!), we’d become, vengeful, and, hurt the bystanders, along with ourselves, because we only wanted what served us all right, justice! But sometimes, the justice we seek, isn’t actually, justice at all, instead, it’s, revenge!
