Invisible Man, a Poem

The life, of, an ordinary man like you or me, translated…

An Umbrella, Floated in Mid-Air, a Pair of Shoes

Duplicating Yesterday’s Passageway

With the Leftover Secrets, Kept Shut in by the Earphones

here he is, it’s, hard to see him though…

The Love Songs Played on, Keeping My Temperatures Constant

Pulling Tightly on the Rings, Courteously, Dodged One Another’s Gazes

Underground in This Big City, Seeing the Blurred Reflections of a Few Unknown Faces

Darkened, Flattened, Paled by Comparison to the

Life-Like Expressions We’d Bought with the Virtual Coins on the Communication Apps

There’s This Thin-Layer of Symbolism Behind These Emoticons:

Children, Pregnant Ladies, Elderly, and

Those Who are Immobilized, in These Simple Diagrams

Became, the Same Souls Sitting

An Invisible Man Like Me

here’s, our Mr. Nobody…not my picture…

Sitting in that Second-Rate Theatre, I Knew, that Every Seat

Is Already, Taken by the Lights and the Sounds, After the Movie Was Over

There are, the Tracks of the Tears that Remained, in the Vacantness

The Dreams Leaked Out of the Faucets Like Water

The Dirty Dishes Already, Washed Themselves

Day after Day, This Silent Film Played on

someone who’s not who s/he appeared to be…photo from online…

We’d Recited Our Separate Lines to Ourselves Silently: Making a Living

On Staying Up All Night, Every Lost Rain Drop Became

An Eye that’s Lost Its Temperature, for a Fuller Tomorrow

Refused to Put that Dent on the Pillows

To Not Show Oneself in its Original Form

Heavy, But Transparent, in the Constantly Replaying Dreams

Connecting to an Opposite Passageway Half in a Daze—I Need to Get Away

I Want to, Join in with the Millions and Billions of Ghosts, of Spirits

Flying, Past that Multi-Colored, Multi-Formed Cycle of Life

So, this, is what the life cycle looks like, what we amount to, at the end of our workdays, is nothing more than a beat and tired out form of human beings…
