Never a Daddy She’d Needed

ABSENTEE father ALERT!!!

Never a daddy she’d needed, that, was her “birth” father, and NO, she still wasn’t “adopted” here…He was NEVER a daddy she’d needed, he was NEVER there for her, never been to her ballet recitals, her school plays, or any sort of related “functions” of her childhood. He’d only shown up, just that ONCE, in his high-end car, to pick her up, in front of ALL her friends, and that was that.

Never a daddy she’d needed, he’d FAILED, miserably, as her dad! And now, she’d, stood up, through ALL of the hardest moments of her life. As she readied herself for marriage, she got dressed up in her bride’s gown, and, marched (all by herself too!!!) down that aisle in city hall, to be married to the man she loved, in front of a judge.

Never a daddy she’d needed, he’d missed out, on ALL the milestones of his own child’s life, what kind of a father DOES that, huh? Only shows up, in the forms of a check every month (that’s the child support owed to her mother for her!), and, yeah, if you believe, that he’d done, providing for his own young, in the MATERIAL sense! I mean, he had, made sure, that there are, good clothes on her back, those name-brand purses, watches, jewelries, and what-nots.

But, he was, NEVER a daddy she’d needed, and, had he taken the time, and asked her when she was a mere young child: hey child, would you like me to spend more time with you, or would you rather me, working, to give you ALL the materialistic wealth in the world? She would’ve, told her father in her own words, that she’d, preferred a daddy who was there, right beside her, every step of the way, as she ages, but, this ABSENTEE father never got a clue!
