Her Very First Slip-Up

She’d had her, very FIRST slip-up, back with the LAST hired helper, it was, in the early mornings, when she’d gotten up to go to the bathrooms, and she’d, tripped and fallen, bruised her forehead…

And, in her families’ opinions, that very FIRST slip-up should’ve been, easily avoided, had the hired helper slept next to her, but, the worker told them, that the elderly snored, and she couldn’t sleep, that, was why she was, in the next room!

Her very first slip-up, we’d expected that there would be, more and more slip-ups to come after that initial one, it’s just, we’d never anticipated, how it would come, to affect her. She’d slowly, become, immobilized, compared to just six months ago, she could still walk on her own, very slowly, and now, she’d lost, the use of her leg muscles…

Her very FIRST slip-up, that, was only, the foreshadows of more deteriorations to come, and, there’s still NO reversing the aging processes, not even with Aricep, which she’d taken, back when she was still, just in the beginning stages of her dementia, and now, as her dementia progressed, the health insurances no longer, PAID for the drugs anymore, and, there’s, NOTHING any of us can do, but to, watch her more closely, but, who can stay by her side, watch her, 24/7, every day of every month, and every month of every single year?

this, could’ve easily been prevented, had there been someone sleeping next to this person…NOT my photograph…

And so, that, was where the hired helper comes in, and yet, she’d FAILED, to do her job………
