Yesterday was Mother’s Day, and many in the community had, had a different kind of Mother’s Day. The volunteer of Tzu-Chi, Yi-Bing Chang’s daughter, due to how she can’t get past her broken heart, attempted to suicide by burning charcoal many years ago, she’d suffered brain damage, and her intelligence regressed back to a five-year-old. Yi-Bing Chang took her daughter to the Buddha celebration yesterday, her daughter handed her a bouquet of flowers, with the wishes, “I love you, mom”, it’d made everybody who was there moved to tears.
Yi-Bing Chang said, seven years ago, when her daughter attempted suicide, thankfully, the “Tzu-Chi Hospital Foundation” provided them with wheelchair, and bed, along with other needed units, along with the material and emotional support the family needed, it’d helped her find the strength she’d lost from before.
The mother’s long-term giving, the daughter saw and felt, yesterday, she’d hand-delivered a bouquet of flowers, and told her mother thank you, for looking after her. She said, she will work hard rehabilitating herself, hoped that next year, she could walk into the ceremonies next year.
This, is a story of a miracle on Mother’s Day, and, this gift of a simple bouquet of flowers from her daughter was probably, the BEST gift this mother ever received, because seeing her own child slowly make her recovery from her brain injuries can make any parent happy!
