“I Couldn’t Make a Sound, I’d Covered Up My Face with My Sheets and Endured Through it Each and Every Time”, a Teenage Girl Cried about How Her Uncle Had, Raped Her for Three Years

Can you imagine, how much HELL this adolescent young woman went through??? From the Front Page Sections, translated…

An adolescent girl, since her sixth grade year, had been sexually abused by her father’s older brother continuously, she was afraid that her telling may cause the family to break up, she’d kept covering her face with her covers when her uncle raped her, it wasn’t until last year, did she finally work up the courage, to ask her father to help.

The Kaohsiung District Court believed, that in the three years’ time, the uncle, in the three years time, raped the teen a total of 137 times, found him guilty of forced sexual and sexual molestation and gave him a sentence of twelve-and-a-half years, he can appeal to get it reduced.

The captain of the Women and Children Squadron of the Kaohsiung City Police Department, Chen said, that the rape cases occurring in the families are most difficult, the victims should be brave and say NO to the abuser, to call out for help, to run away, the worst thing that the victims can do, is keep it a secret, the family should start instilling the ideals of “it’s my body” from when the children are young, to help them protect themselves.

The verdict stated, that the victim lived with her father, her uncle, and grandmother, three years ago when she was in the sixth grade, her uncle attacked her breasts, and took the advantage of the time when other members of her family was away, to rape her, and even entered into her bedroom late in the nights, and raped her while she was in bed, sleeping; it wasn’t until last June, did the adolescent girl tell her father about what happened.

The adolescent girl cried and told the judge, “As I was raped, my mind went blank, I couldn’t make a single sound,” because I feared that the relationship between my uncle and the rest of the family will be bad, and worried that my families won’t believe me, so that, was why I’d kept it all a secret”, that, was why every time she’d covered her face with the quilts, and put up with the rapes.

The Collectivist Court believed, that the uncle didn’t take into consideration that the adolescent was a younger generation of the family, invaded her rights to her body, that what he did, was nothing less than malicious, but seeing how he didn’t have any priors, and admitted to wrong doing, they’d given him twelve years and a half.

So, that, is just BULLSHIT, only twelve and a half years for raping this young woman from when she was only in the sixth grade? How’s that enough to cover for what he’d put this young woman through? And, what about those nightmares that will surely come, as a part of her P.T.S.D., the law did NOT consider ANY of that, instead, the judges just looked at how after he’d raped his own niece, he’d admitted to wrong doing (that should signify, that he won’t do it again, especially now, that he was, caught, right???), and the family, including the victim was, willing to forgive (I’m assuming here!!!), and this, is still, VERY far from justice being S-E-R-V-E-D!
