This is happen, actually, MORE often than you may think, you may even be, a “practitioner” of this “craft”…
Slaughtering the love of learning, this, is EASY, just take the FUN out of learning, by making those kiddies of two, three, four, recite their A, B, C’s fully (all TWENTY-SIX alphabets, and in other languages, there are, MORE, like in Spanish, there are, a total of THIRTY, and in the PHONETICS spellings of Mandarin, there are, THIRT-SEVEN, those of you interested in knowing), and give them quizzes on it every single day, so, the children’s lives are plagued with nothing BUT making the grades, hitting those god DAMN textbooks that are too heavy for them to carry in their backpacks.
Slaughtering the love of learning, that’s what’s being done every single day in ALL the schools (private AND public!!!), as there are the quotas of how many kid passed this time’s standardized state exams, what percentile did our school score in, how mayn kid in the class flunked, blah, blah, blah, and, this just places stresses and pressures on the students, as if they don’t score high enough, then, they’re NOT allowed to walk across the podium, receive that diploma from that dude, make mommy and daddy proud!
Slaughtering the love of learning is easy, but, getting that love in new things back, it’s, pretty difficult, it’d taken me, YEARS to recover after my being “educated” (don’t ask me what I’d learned, in the process of earning my B.A. in psych!), and now, I’m finally, once more, in love, with learning new things, AND reading again!
this is the sort of stresses children encounter in school…NOT my cartoon.
So, be good to your young, don’t make them do well in class, if they don’t do well, so what? Grades don’t make the man, the MAN, is what makes the man, and this is still not be telling all of you, students out there, it’s okay, to go and BOMB all your required courses, I’m just saying, that even IF you don’t get good grades, so long as you have a skill, you will still be okay in life…
