The experiences in life, translated…
“I don’t believe it!”
Since I understood, every time someone tries to “teach” me something, these words would, always, come up to my mind, and no matter how many time’s I’d been told, “You will get hurt not listening to those more experienced than you!”, I’d still, persisted in my ways.
Or maybe, it’s my overly optimistic, or maybe, it’s because I’m just, too focused on my self, I couldn’t, be humble, but, strangely, I’d never, regretted a moment of not taking anybody else’s advice.
Once in a lab class, we’d needed to heat up the malt, the teacher saw all of us, eager to try it, he’d stated, like a prophecy, “Don’t touch the heated up malt, you can’t tell it’s hot, because there won’t be steam coming from it!”, and, these words entered into my ears, pulled on that switch, I’d stared at the broiling malt, scented so sweet, crystal clear, calling out to me, and, I’d, extended, my fingers———
“Ahhh!”, a blister formed, right on my finger, and the teacher pulled me out of the class, and run the faucet over my fingers.
Looking at the water, pouring over my reddened index finger, I couldn’t help, but hoorayed out inside, “I can skip my piano lessons tonight for sure!”
So, you got burned, but, the positive of that, is that you can’t take your piano lesson for the evening either, and, maybe, that’s this individual’s plans all along, or maybe, it’s, just, an added benefit of burning her finger, who knows???
