The twenty-five-year-old Du two years ago, moved in with his girlfriend, Wang whom he? only started dating just a few months before, the two of them felt that their shared future looked bleak, and ?anted to save the best time we? shared when we are dating behind?? ?Both wrote their last notes, and bought the sleeping pills together, the charcoal, the barbeque racks, and returned home to take the meds and burn the charcoals. ?Four hours later, Du woke to find his girlfriend already dead, he? wanted to leap off of the building, but, stopped that thought, instead, he? called up his own mother for help.
Wang? parents suspected that Du had murdered, or told their daughter to commit suicide, and sued him for murder. ?The D.A. believed, that Du and Wang went to buy the charcoals, the meds together, and Du claimed that he wanted to die with his girlfriend, believed, that he had the ?ntention of committing suicide??with her, that he had, assisted in helping another person commit suicide, they? prosecuted him based off of artificial suicide charges.
So because this man had, survived, that, was why he was charged, with assisted suicide, when this may well have been a case of killing oneself to be together forever.
