“Old Shoes, Save Lives” had many people donating their old shoes to Kenya, one of the sponsors of the charitable acts, Yang started the “Taiwan Backpack International” programs, wanting members of the public to donate their used backpacks to Africa.
Yang said, every donated backpack first needs to be cleaned, with words in English written on a card attached, and there’s the need for the school’s names, printed on the bags, so there would be, backpacks from all over Taiwan in Africa, this was, an alternative way, to get the rest of the world to notice Taiwan; this program is going to help the students here to become more aware of poverty and life.
So, this program that this individual started, NOT only gave those children in Africa what they’d needed, it’d also, raised awareness for the public here, on how much they should be thankful for…
