The former shortstop of the Lamigo Apes, Kuo who had won the 2013 Newest Player Award, was accused of climbing from the fourth floor of the apartment building rented by the team to the fifth floor, attempted to rape a female college student; when Kuo was called in by the police, he’d made the excuse of how he got too drunk, and just, got into the wrong rooms, that he’d not touched the woman at all, but the college student accused him for touching her, which was why she was screaming, after the interrogations, the police took Kuo in on charges of breaking and entering, and attempted sexual assault.
Kuo, who’s thirty-one had already been fired by the team on the seventh of this month, and to never be hired again, he’d, lost his career in baseball; and, the Taoyuan Apes stated on the matter: we’re NOT answering unrelated questions.
The police found, that the Taoyuan Apes started their spring training this February in Pingdong, and rented the fourth floor of a building locally for the players to stay; at around one o’clock in the morning on February 28th, after Kuo got drunk, he’d climbed upward from the fourth to the fifth floor, and, entered into the female college student’s bedroom from the lanai, the student screamed out “HELP!”, Kuo was shocked by her, and, left from the front door of her apartment, and the victim later reported the incident.
The police called Kuo in by the identification of the victim, Kuo admitted to entering into the victim’s room by mistake after he was too plastered, but denied having any ill intentions at all; he said he heard the woman scream, that, was when he realized, that he’d, entered into the wrong room. But the female student told, that she was awakened the moment Kuo entered, that he’d stood over her bed, and touched her, that, was why she’d screamed for help.
Kuo was in the marines in the services, he carried the nickname of “frogman”; after he was out of the services, he’d stopped playing and in the 2012 end-of-season picks, he was selected by the Taoyuan Lamigos, in 2013, he’d done excellent, and won the award for the best new MVP.
In recent years, Kuo stayed in between the first and second strings, in 2015, to welcome his own son, he’d decided to stop drinking along with other bad habits; and now, there’s, this attempted rape case on him, Kuo went from the inspirational figure from back when, and turned into a suspect of attempted rape.
So, as you can see, this is still, a crime of OPPORTUNITY, because the man never expected to get caught, and, he thought that the woman wouldn’t report him, due to how famous he was or whatever, but, he’d thought wrong, and, maybe, he was, plastered, who knows, but, that’s still NO excuse for what he might be attempting to do…
