That Untouched Place in Her Memories…

She’d become, more, and more forgetful by the day, but there was, that untouched place in her memories, when she was, back in her younger years, still a child, of five, or six, her dad had, bounced her on his knees, and told her stories of princesses, knights, dragons, and what-nots.

That untouched place in her memories, she’d, done all she could, to hold on to what she’s, slowly, losing by the day, and, sometimes, she would sit, misty-eyed, on her rocker, looking out toward the emptiness of the world, and, she’d started, to cry, but, whenever someone mentions that part of her favorite younger years, she’d become, animated.

not my photograph…

That untouched place in her memories, there’s, NO room, for anybody ELSE but her, and her past loves, and, she’d, carried all of these, precious moments inside her heart, despite how she can’t, even remember the name of that very first love anymore. That untouched place in her memories, it’s slowly, gone away now, she just, sits and stare into space these days, it’s like, she’s, NO longer here with us anymore…

That untouched place in her memories, we kept prodding her, playing with her, hoping, that she can remember, who we all are, and, in a miniscule of a moment of her clarity, she can, name each and every one of us, her children AND her grandchildren too, but, that miniscule of a moment, it’d always, faded out, too quickly.

That untouched place in her memories, we wondered, what, does she, keep there? Something precious, we all supposed, but, nobody knows for sure, not even she, not anymore!

what the process looks like, not my picture still…
