The wife of a certain college professor from the southern regions who’d found out her husband had an affair went to tell his school, he’d asked for the divorce based off of how they’d lived for ten years separately already, and the wife demanded that he’d made an open apology on “how the other woman had broken up the marriage”, as a condition of her agreeing to him divorcing her, but the professor was only willing to make oral admissions, refused to do it on paper. The Pingdong District Court believed that the couple’s not getting along, the professor carried more of the blame, tossed back the petition for divorce by him. The professor was displeased and is now, fighting for an appeal.
The famous professor, after he graduated university, married Chen, they have a pair of children, later on, he’d entered into graduate school, and started coming home late using the excuse of his heavy course load. His wife became suspicious, and did the investigations on her own, found that he’d gotten very close to a younger schoolmate, they’d started fighting a lot over this.
The in-laws believed that their son was having a hard enough time keeping up with his studies, and that as his wife, their daughter-in-law should be more considerate to him, for him, earning a higher degree. And claimed that in the future, their son will become an associate professor, to teach the courses himself, making more money, so his family can live on better. Chen couldn’t take the pressures from her in-law that came regularly, left home a little over a decade ago.
After Chen left home, she’d missed her elementary-age child, and, ran to the afterschool program to see him. But the instructor in the afternoon school program told her that the child’s grandmother told her that she shouldn’t allow her to visit her child, refused to allow her to see him. Later on, whenever she’d missed her son, she can only, keep herself out of sight at the far corner from the schools, and, the mother and son became more and more estranged by the day.
A short while ago, Chen learned that her husband became a professor, and, she’d anonymously told the school, that he was having an extramarital affair with someone; the professor was called in by the dean of his department to talk, he was displeased of this. The professor denied having cheated on his wife, believed, that his wife had, damaged his reputation, and stated that they’d lived separately for over a decade already, that they’re only husband and wife on paper, but not reality, besides his wife had left home for no reasons at all, not fulfilled her duties as his wife, and a mother to their young, he’d petitioned for a divorce from the courts.
The judge found out, that Chen’s mother-in-law had prevented her from seeing her own son, and, poisoned her son against her by talking trash about the child’s mother to him, causing her son to treat her coldly. And, Chen didn’t want to let her cheating husband off easily, so she’d refused to divorce him.
The judge consoled with Chen, told her “not to torture yourself anymore”, and, Chen said, that she would be willing to sign the divorce, ONLY if her husband wrote a formal letter of apology to her. The professor stated in court, that he was willing to offer her a verbal apology for having an affair, but worried that his wife may show the letter of apology to the school he’s teaching in to damage his reputation, and refused to write the letter, the judge believed that the professor shouldered larger part of the blame for the breaking of the marriage, and tossed back his claims of a divorce.
So, this LOSER didn’t get his way, and, this still just shows, how BIG men’s EGOs are, this LOSER, still cared about his REPUTATION, how bad he will look, in front of his colleagues, his superiors, blah, blah, blah, if he were to write that letter of apology, admitting that he’d done wrong by his own wife, and the mother-in-law was even worse, for turning this woman’s son against her.
