Suffering from some sort of untreated mental condition, leading up to his suicide, from the Front Page Sections, translated…
Two evenings ago, on Route 84, the Yu-Jing to Beimen Freeways had a case of drowning, Chen, a cab driver leapt into a pond of the fish farms from the side of a three-story highway railing, and drowned. The police investigated, that before he’d died, he was not in a stable mental condition, he’d told the police, the social workers, that someone was out to get him, but, yesterday as the coroner and the police examined his body, they’d not found ANY external injuries, they’re ruling out foul play for now.
The police found, that the cabdriver’s parents were dead, his grandmother is living in an assisted living home. A couple of days ago, Chen claimed to social workers, “Someone’s out to get me”, back then, he was in a very unstable mental condition, two afternoons ago, he’d even called up the Ling-Ya Substation, stating how someone’s out to get him, and after the officers calmed him back down, he was more stabilized, but, in a few hours later, came the news of his suicide.
So, based off of this, we can conclude, that the man seemed to be suffering from persecutory delusions, but, we can’t be sure, if that, was what drove him to commit suicide, or maybe, it’s how difficult it’d been for him, to live with the thought, that someone is constantly out to get him, that he’d decided, to put an END to it all, that he’d taken the leap, and drowned himself to death.
