Call this, ONE MORE adverse side-effect of using social networking if you will…
Social awkwardness, face-to-face, it’s, quite odd, actually, because, we’d become, the BEST of friends who can tell each other any and everything that’s troubling our separate minds from the pages of interactions online, and yet, as we’d met, face-to-face, there’s, that sense, of estrangement, that scent of strangeness, of being, uncomfortable in one another’s presence, why is that, huh?
can anybody understand this??? I think N-O-T, NOT my picture…
Could it be, that we’d become, totally, reliant on these internet connections, hiding behind our laptops, computers, masking ourselves up as who we want others to perceive us as, without letting our selves shine through, that’s made us, awkward, in one another’s physical presences? Or could it be, that we’re, just, NOT right for one another, not as we’d imagined we’d be, because that connection (which can easily get BROKEN, if the internet connections stopped working, hello, hello, hello???) is too fragile, and that, there’s, NOTHING shared by the two of, save for that interface, discussion board, that IM message window that popped up?
what that looked like, NOT my picture…
Social awkwardness, face-to-face, because we are now, extremely, used to, typing on our impersonal keyboards, not realizing that our words don’t have emotions to them (after all, they’re, letters, stringed together, to make these words, aren’t they???), that in NOT interacting with each other face-to-face, we’d lacked, that personal closeness compared to when we are sharing that conversation over that hot cup of coffee together………
