Another attempted suicide, with a combination of stressors, leading up to the suicide attempt, from the Front Page Sections, translated…

A man Liu at noon yesterday complained to his relatives that everybody else had pushed all the work to him to do, and, an hour later, he’d set himself on fire with gasoline in the lot in front of the crystal decoration factory owned by his family, he was rushed to the Navy General Hospital in Kaohsiung to resuscitate, he’d suffered second-degree burns on his body, with the surface area of burns of up to ninety-seven-percent of his entire body, is in life-threatening danger.

The police investigated, that the thirty-three-year-old Liu was unmarried, the small factory that his family owned primarily manufactured the amethyst decorations and the salt crystal lamps, run by his own mother, and, because the mother passed away of illness, the factory’s operations were left to the mother’s niece, Liu started working there just last November, there were only three employees, including Liu.

At around one in the afternoon yesterday, Liu complained to his younger cousin, that the workload was too heavy, he ran back into the bedroom in the factory, took out a keg of gasoline, walked to the empty lot in front of the factory, poured gas all over himself, then, ignited it with a flame gun, he was lit up all of a sudden, his older cousin who was right there immediately put out the blazes, called the police and rushed him to the hospital.

The police said, that Liu complained to the relative, that everybody else had pushed their own workloads onto just him, he’d needed to package, and send out the packages; Liu’s younger cousin denied the claims of the unevenly spread workload, stated, that Liu was stable at work usually, but with a hot temper, and couldn’t understand why he’d set himself on fire.

The Kaohsiung Navy Hospital stated, that Liu had been transferred to the burn ICU and they’re, continually, trying to, resuscitate him, he is in life-threatening danger.

So, this man cracked, because he couldn’t handle the workload, and, it may have been combined with his grief of losing his own mom too, or how his mother had, left the business to his younger cousin instead of him, and all of these factors combined, had made him suicidal, and, he saw the timing, and, attempted, to kill himself by setting himself ablaze…
