Bad news, from the Front Page Sections, translated…
Two seventeen-year-olds from Hsibei City, both from not-well-to-do backgrounds, one hacked someone, one was, hacked by someone, this was, a strong contrast. The middle school student who’d hacked someone, stopped going to school after middle school, he’d worked odds and ends to make the money, and the reason why he’d hacked someone was because he needed more spending cash; and the adolescent part-time employee, Ding, was part-timing, to make his own ends meet, and was, murdered.
The police found, that Ding, who’d fought hard against his attacker was an only child, his parents were regular nine-to-five workers, his family is middle class. Ding studies in the mechanics department in a certain technical high school in Taoyuan, the school said, that he’d done quite well in his studies and got along well with his teachers as well as his classmates too.
Ding’s father didn’t want his son to stay at home all the time, and played the online games, and encouraged him to find a part-time job somewhere, to add to his life’s experiences. Started last December, Ding started part-timing at the super convenience shops after school at five in the evening, and, gets off his shift at elven o’clock at night. In order to save the time, he’d selected the store that’s not too far from his school and home, but, it’d only been two years since he’d started working, and the accident happened.
The adolescent who’d attempted to rob the store, Chen was the eldest son, with a younger sister, two younger brothers, the neighbors said, that he’d been in trouble a lot since he was younger, that his elders couldn’t set him straight. He’d not finished his studies in the middle school years, and not continued his education, worked odds and ends, about a week ago, he’d followed his uncle to the marketplaces to sell the produces.
Chen’s father said, that he was, a construction model makers, makes about a little over $60,000N.T. per month, the household economics wasn’t too bad, he couldn’t understand why his son claimed that he’d needed the money as he’d gone to rob the super convenience shop; but the damages are done, and he felt sorry for the victim and his family, and hoped, that Ding’s injuries would get better soon, that he would, find a day, to go and visit him and apologize on his own son’s behalf.
So, these, are two very different teens, one was hard working, and, he’d worked hard, to get his working experiences, while the other seventeen-year-old had everything handed to him, and committed attempted murder, and, something MUST’ve gone wrong, in the process of growing up for this guy who’d hacked someone, maybe, he took up with the wrong crowds, or, he felt, that his parents didn’t give him enough money, so he’d resorted to robbing someone’s shop???
