How the parents can deeply IMPACT their own young without knowing it!!! From the Front Page Sections, translated…
A woman of about thirty years of age in Pingdong, her parents were divorced when she was in her elementary years, she’d held on to the photos of her parents’ trip with her from her childhood years to sleep every single night, her psychological developments stunted at the age of ten; twenty years later, she’d sued her father for child support, as she saw her father in court, she’d hugged him and cried, “oh dad, I missed you so”. The judge mandated that the father needed to see this woman four times per year, and needed to pay her $4,000N.T. each month.
The general manager of the Ping-An Hospital in Pingdong, Huang stated, that the children often suffer from PTSD from their parents’ divorce, normally, the pains dissipated with time, to the point of being completely gone. This woman, due to her parents’ divorce, her mental growth stayed at the age of ten, this, was very rare; he suggested that her family take her to the hospital, and have the physicians check, to see if there are, other undiscovered conditions, and place her in therapy, and, the situation may improve.
The verdict stated, that in this woman’s younger years, her family was originally harmonious, she’d gone on trips often with her parents, at the age of ten, her parents got into a serious argument, then, divorced, she was placed in her own mother’s custody. As her father left, he’d told her, “I’ll come back to visit you”, but, was never heard of again.
The adolescent girl would hug onto the photo of their last trip together as she fell asleep, and the mother thought that she was, only missing her father, later on, the adolescent had, refused to go to school, and as the mother went to the school to understand the matter, she’d learned, that her daughter showed signs of refusing to learn, and the condition exacerbated, and, the mother took her to get treated, her condition didn’t improve, she’d not graduated from the elementary school years.
The woman was tortured by her own missing her father so, and, her mother tried to find her ex-husband, but, couldn’t, and, decided to ask the courts to help her find him. The woman sued her father for unpaid child support, and, the courts’ investigations found, that her father had moved to the midstrips, and remarried again, a short while ago, both parties were called to appear before the judge, as the adolescent girl saw her father who’d been gone from her since over twenty years ago, she’d run toward him, hugged him tightly, and cried, “Dad, I really missed you so”, and, the judge, the attorneys, the court’s clerk, as well as the translator, and the woman’s mother, were all moved by how sorrowful their reunion felt.
The judge mandated that the father must see the woman four times a year, and pay her $4,000N.T. a month for the visitations, but, the man claimed that he needed to care for his other two kids who are in college, and had only limited earnings, his other children were on financial aid, that he didn’t have the extra money to pay to his daughter. And the daughter told, that she was very glad she’d finally, gotten, to see her father, that it didn’t matter if he paid her the child support for not, “I’m okay”.
The judge told the woman’s father, “Your children from your second marriage can apply for financial aid from the schools, but she (the daughter) was severely traumatized by you and your wife’s divorce, she’d become, intellectually delayed, she’d not even had the chance, to continue her education”, that was when the man accepted the judge’s request for him to pay $4,000N.T. a month to his own daughter.
So, this, is once again, how the child was made to pay, for the adults’ mistakes, and, this woman must’ve loved her father so much so, that his leaving her had, traumatized her badly, that her intellectual development stayed at the age of ten, when he’d, abandoned her, and, the judge was right, in making this man PAY, but, no amount of money, can bring back this woman who should’ve been healthy and well again!
