The Circus

People of ALL walks of life here, translated…

Here! They’re here! The circus is here.

We are going to go and visit those bent-out-of-shape, slow-moving giants, those musclemen who’d huffed and puffed constantly too, and, those midgets who just won’t get taller, because they were squeezed and their growths were, stunted; and those beautiful ladies, with the heavy makeup on, their large breasts, thin waistlines, with the hourglass figures. None of them are normal people. The skilled performers, did things we weren’t capable of, along with the skills of spinning the plates, stacking up the wine glasses, juggling of the large pottery basins, throwing those bottles high up in the air, riding the unicycles, the men who’d, stacked themselves up one on top of another, swallowing the fireballs, swallowing the swords………

We’re going to see those amazing shows, for instance:

The Animal Trainers

The animal trainers assigned the tasks to the elephants, the lions, the tigers, the bears, the horses, the chimpanzees, the dogs, commanding them to stand, to stand upside down, to do flips, to sit still, on that rolling cylinder, to walk the high ropes, to jump through hoops lit with fire, to stand in line………

The beasts, lacked that killing instincts now, they’d followed the orders of the trainer, and gone against their natural instincts, and, performed the tricks that they were, told to do.

“you misbehave, and I’ll whoop you!”  Not my cartoon…

And, although the animals couldn’t understand what those actions were, they were told, to perform things that only humans would do. Then, they’d gained, the applauses, and, received the accolades.

The animal trainers used an assortment of ways, and managed to, tame the powers that were, originally, difficult, to tame.

And, because this, is the way that the human world works, we are compelled, to train and tame ALL other lower organisms, because they’re all considered, barbaric and wild, until we’d, tamed them, and in the process of domesticate these animals, in the zoos or for the performances of the circus acts, we’d, stripped them, of their, natural instincts…

sit pretty, GOOD elephant!!!  Not my photo…

The Acrobats

The acrobats stood, at the highest level of the tents, that height which was, scary, to all. The place where they stood, was nothing more, than a small, squarish metal plate, and sometimes, there were, two, to three acrobats standing there.

And, we can only, tilt our heads upward, to see them, we can only, shift our gazes upward to see them.

Normal people couldn’t stand there, and, there’s, a high death rate, for the acrobats as well.

You must have a strong enough body, and muscle strengths in your arms, legs, and waist too, and you must also be agile.

High up in the air, practiced the twirls, to the point of perfect, when you can, catch the person swinging towards you, or you can manage, to get to the hands, of the one, who was there, to catch you.

acrobat 的圖片結果strong legs AND arms required, for this job of ours, photo from online…

As the two individuals got connected, they’d, started, swinging, leap to catch one another, swung again, leapt, caught one another, then, stand, back onto the platform of the dive that they took at the beginning.

And from time to time, they’d, performed hanging upside down with just one leg, sometimes two, and, the tip of their toes are easily slipped, and, with a slight move, they can, fall, toward their deaths.

As the performances went on, if there were, nets below, then, the audience would believe, that the acrobats weren’t skillful enough, that it wasn’t, climactic, not dangerous enough.

The more twirls they did, the more combination catches they’d done, the more complex the routines, the hollers and applauses from down below in the audiences would get louder still.

After all, this, is a show that people would tilt their heads upward to see, and, the acrobats stood so high up, doing so many, breathtaking moves.

In such a dangerous place, those lethal moves, and, there were still, those, who are, willing, to gamble with their lives, only, to get looked upon.

the timing needs to be perfect, or else!!!  Not my photograph…

So, this, is what it’s all about, the glories, the applauses, the accolades, what these, acrobats were, chasing, and, they’d, put their own lives, as well as the lives of their fellow performers in harm’s way, and for what, their fifteen-minutes of fame, their deserved applauses from the audiences?

The Clowns

Oh, how we loved those clowns, because they’re, ugly, dumb, and acted like fools.

And, there are, those who take up that role in reality, giving us a sense of superiority, along with making us laugh.

and finally, we have……not my art…

Their magnified mouths, noses, and ears, became hilarious, especially those crescent-shaped lips, they’re already, smiling AT you, can you not, smile back at them?

They wore their clothes loosely, and oversized shoes, with the bright colors, clearly, their clothes didn’t fit them properly, because they wouldn’t understand, how to, properly, dress in clothes that fitted them, or how to, act normal.

Their gestures, exaggerated, constantly tripping and falling, they couldn’t, manage the simplest things themselves, and are easily deceived by others. With a wide variety of facial expressions, winking at you all the time. And, toward their superiors’ or bosses’ orders, they’d reacted too slowly to, or reacted too overtly, and got grilled a lot because of it. Seeing them fall, get tricked, and get fooled, it’d, made us all very happy.

just, keep wearing, that painted-on smile…not my photo here…

It’s said that those people who are humble, knew what can make people laugh, they’d needed to, read others’ faces often, and can, do the right things, to please the audience, and can behave quite humorously.

People who are blessed, can’t be, proper clowns.

Watching those people who are ugly, fools, and slow, it’d, made us happy.

It’s, really sad, if you think about it, the makings of this so-called “circus”, it’s, a bunch of MISFITS of the world, for instance, the animal tamer, s/he tamed wild things, but, deep inside, there’s, that longing, of keeping her/himself untamed, to NOT follow the rules of the regular society, because, s/he stood out, and for the acrobats, they’re, putting their lives in harm’s way, risking death, with EVERY performances, and for what? That miniscule of a second of having the spotlight on them? And the clowns had it worst, they’d had to, paint on those smiley faces, even when they’re, upset or sad, and, nobody likes to see a SAD clown, and so, those clowns are constantly, wearing those masks, and those masks that they’d worn will eventually, burden them and then, they’d, CRACK!

So, that, would be, the REALITIES of the circuses of life…
