An Infant Girl Choked to Death on Her Milk, Her Mother Squatted Down and Cried

A four-months-old infant girl in Taoyuan District, Kaohsiung early morning yesterday at seven was found to have asphyxia from the milk she’d had, she’d stopped breathing and didn’t have a pulse, her mother hurriedly, drove her down the hill from where they’d lived, to seek out help from the fire department, the paramedics defibrillated her and performed CPR on her all the way to the hospitals, but, she’d still, died.

She was the second child in the Wu family, her father works in Hualien, she was looked after by her mother primarily. The mother said sorrowfully, early yesterday morning at around five, after she’d breastfed her daughter, she continued to sleep, and at a little past seven in the morn, she’d found her daughter’s face had turned black, and she wasn’t moving at all, she was so scared she drove from her home in Taoyuan District downhill, to the Baolai Fire Station to ask for help.

The Baolai Fire Station told, that as the woman came with her infant child, she already stopped breathing, and didn’t have a heartrate, the paramedics immediately transferred her to Chiayi University’s Hospital, and, on the way, they’d used the electric defibrillator to shock her heart, and continued doing CPR on her all the way there. As the ambulance set out, the child’s mother squatted to the floor and started crying, and everybody felt sad for her.

The manager of the Emergency Room for Chiayi University Hospital said, that the infant showed NO signs of external injuries, that the preliminary examinations showed that she may have died, from choking on the milk, but, the precise reason won’t be known until later.

And so, this, is extremely important: ALWAYS BURP your infants after they were fed, don’t just put them down for a nap, because you don’t know if they will throw up, and CHOKE to death on their vomit, and this, is still, the carelessness of the mother, she should’ve watched her daughter more closely, but she didn’t, and now, she’d, lost her baby girl.
