The woman, Lo raised up her two sons on her own, put him through dentistry school, and, made an agreement, that after his son opened up a dentist’s office, he shall, pay her back, and, later on, the son refused to pay, because of the agreements not being specific reasons of the contract with his own mother. The High Courts in Taiwan pointed out, that the purpose of the contract back then, was so Lo didn’t have to worry about her old age, and when they’d made the agreement, the son was already an adult, and, mandated that the son needed to pay his own mother over twenty million dollars, which he can appeal to pay less than the specified amount.
Lo had two sons, the three of them signed a contract twenty years ago. The contract stated, that her ex didn’t pay for ANY of her children’s education or living expenses, that Lo had spent all her energies, all her earnings, to raise her two sons up into adulthood; she’d worried that after she’s elderly, nobody will be there, to look after her, and, that after her two sons start4ed making a living on their own, they are to give sixty-percent of their monthly earnings to their mother, that the sons owed their mother a total of over fifty million dollars N.T.
After Lo divorced, she’d needed to, raise her two young sons, borrowed money to help her son get into school, for them to retake their exams, to get into the dentistry department. She’d worried, that her sons won’t support her as they grew up, she’d set up an agreement with them, on how she expected them to pay for her living as they got older, to pay for what she’d given to them to study. Lo believed, that she’d spent money on her younger son’s diets of organic rice, the pork for his meals, the quilts for the summers and winters, the lamp on his desk, the school registration fees, the money for the textbooks, the rent, the maid services, and now, the younger son was a practicing dentist, and owns a clinic already, he should be made, to pay her a total of twenty-five million dollars N.T.
Lo’s younger son argued, that as the pact was signed, he was only a twenty-year-old college student, and, the agreement mandated that he needed to pay his mother for the money she’d spent on him, putting him through school, and the time she’d put into, raising him, that this way of calculation was against the norms. The younger son stated, that by this way of calculating, he’d started owing money since he was born, and, as he got older, the debts grow higher and higher, and that the parents’ providing for their young became, a loan process.
The Highest Court in Taiwan’s appeal of the first trial found, that although the contract was about how much Lo had spent, raising her own sons, but, the purpose of the contract was to safeguard her own elderly years, and, as the son signed the pact, he was already twenty, an adult; the Collective Courts believed, that the contract was valid, and, after subtracting the $1.78 million that the son had already paid, the courts mandated that the younger son needed to pay another little over twenty million dollars N.T., for this debt to get completely cleared.
And so, this, is what it world down to, people are now assigning the monetary values to raising their young, because there are so many cases right now, on how after someone raised their children up, given them EVERYTHING that the parents had, and, the parents ended up, uncared for, and in bad conditions in their elderly years, this, is why this mother wants her son to pay her back, but, IF this belief is actually valid, then, like the son stated, he’d been, in DEBT since the day he was CONCEIVED, and, is that right??? And, how the FUCK (don’t pardon me this time!!!) can we already be in DEBT, to our parents, just because our daddies FUCKED (and your point being???) our mommies, and, our mommies didn’t have an ABORTION, and, ended up, going through harsh labor to bring us out, one by one, into the world, but hey, parents, DO remember, that you two, FUCKING adults are the ones, who’d, consented, to FUCK, without that CONDOM, and, oopsy, out popped, ALL of us, YOUR pretty little mistakes, and, now you’re asking us to pay for your lives???
